WASHINGTON (AP) - Sen. Russ Feingold said he was impressed with Samuel Alito's candor on a number of issues, though he had concerns about others, when he met with the Supreme Court nominee Wednesday.

"We had a really good, wide-ranging talk," Feingold, D-Wis., said in a telephone interview after the one-hour meeting. "In a number of areas, he was more even candid than the other two nominees that sat in that same chair."
