Rock Hall to Put On Woodstock Anniversary Exhibit

NEW YORK (AP) - Peace and love will last a lot longer than three days at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, which is celebrating Woodstock's 40th anniversary with a new exhibit. From July 3 to Nov. 29, the Cleveland-based center will feature items from the legendary three-day weekend in upstate New York. The exhibit also will include the original written plan for the event from its producer, Michael Lang.

The June 9 column by Cal Thomas covered most of the problems being experienced by General Motors. One omission is the quality of GM's design - construction and the reliability of their finished products. This deficiency has been reported in trade publications throughout this decade. For example: the April edition of Consumer Reports identifies five of 21 Chevrolet vehicles as "recommended" whereas 14 of 19 Fords and 20 of 24 Toyotas are "recommended."

Hearing Delayed in 7th-Owi Case

LANCASTER, Wis. - A preliminary hearing for a Montfort man accused of his seventh OWI was delayed after the judge stepped down from the case. Grant County Judge Robert VanDeHey recused himself from Ronnie Aide's case. VanDeHey was quoted in a Telegraph Herald story about Wisconsin OWI sentencing laws after responding to interview questions sent via e-mail by a TH reporter. Clerical Error Means Summer School for California Kids

CHINO, Calif. - Summer is going to be a lot shorter for hundreds of elementary school students in two Southern California communities. Students at Dickson Elementary in Chino and Rolling Ridge Elementary in Chino Hills were supposed to be done with school June 18, but a clerical error means they will have to make up 34 days or the schools will risk losing $7 million in state funds.

2 Grant Awards Go to Americorps Program

Dubuque's Partners in Learning AmeriCorps program will be able to nearly double its number of volunteers for the 2009-10 year, thanks to two grant awards announced last week by the city.
